 01:44 - 5.1 property given by Enbridge. Have to go thru a process to clear the names and get it in Emmett's name

04:40 Trustee Jim Mead wants to know why we want to do any of this, the parks committee wants to use our parks money for it "why do we want that property?" they want to join it to paddlers grove. Jim says he heard from a third party the land might be contaminated. We're getting 30k a year to spend on parks but we don't have one yet, and Jim asks "why do we need it? Give [the money] back to the county." He says we've already got 3 parks (that are owned by the county, not Emmett).

07:30 "Let me read from the Parks Committee 'I am writing in support of the 27 acres of land that is being discussed in this meeting... I wanted to voice my continued support for this land to become a park for Emmett Township residents. It's a wonderful location with a possibility to make this a destination point for our community, we do enjoy our county parks but how wonderful would it be to have a park for Emmett township residents to use and enjoy? We are a growing township and something like this would help attract families to our township. Our tax money is already allotted to the county parks, it would be great to get something for our residents with our tax money. I hope that you will consider this as a positive for our community and our future as a growing, vibrant township that people would like to live in."

10:45 moving to 5.2,  Motion to appoint Stacy Nevaro and Heather Rocco to the planning commission... Brown asks about providing more access to public people, which is something the Supervisor tries to do. Everybody votes yes.

38:10 police car smashed, wrote off as total loss. Chief wants to keep the old one and use it for parts, it's not allowed

sept 9th, 2021 Tonight's board meeting was quite the doozy, here is a rough summary of what was discussed that might apply to those interested. -Public comments regarding noise being made by construction on certain roads, as well as Zaharion automotive having an excess of cars on their lot that have just been sitting there? Both issues are being addressed. -Deb proposed a wage study to make sure our public servants are being paid appropriately in the event that some ppl are making more (or less) than their position would reckon.  September 8th 2022 Another meeting dragged out due to elected members failing to understand the cost of things or how townships operate. We enter the scene with Dick Brown complaining about the cost of construction on the front of the office, the removal of the awnings and how he, or the other trustees, had no say in the voting/approval of the process (as the cost was under $5k, which is the threshold for it being an action item on the monthly agenda). I don't believe Dick has any knowledge or understanding in regards to construction or the pricing thereof, but a lot of these items are simply things that can't or shouldn't wait for a once a month board meeting to be voted on (by individuals with no background knowledge regarding these subjects) before they can start working on them. There was also the complaint regarding the $195/mo ad spending paid for by the supervisor out of her budget, which is being done on a monthly trial basis and will end within the next few months...
