10:50 Eve D. made a public comment regarding the Beadle Lake Weed Project, stating that it was really working out and to keep doing what the township is doing.
19:20 - Mark Knotley from Municipal Consulting to give a presentation of his wage study that he has conducted on our township. He spends a lot of time going over the details of said study and his methods of conducting it, but essentially he states that though our Treasurer and Clerk are both below the minimum pay range, bc they have an assist finance admin in to carry the load for them, that they might need to pick up the pace if they honestly expect to be given a raise. "They don't have the same level of financial responsibility as other comparable positions." (38:24) He remarks that the township's supervisor is "full service" and very experienced in her position, suggesting she be on the higher end of the pay scale he had set forth. (39:39)
1:06:00 the city of Battle Creek is having issues with baby wipes being flushed down the toilets, it's clogging up the pipes? Says the issue is most prominent in the Beadle Lake area. Get your poop together, guys.
1:06:40 Two trustees came to supervisor Belles and asked how to require elected officials to work full-time or all four days. They were advised that we cannot make them do that but Supervisor asked the attorney if a resolution could be put in place, the attorney said that we cannot do that but instead can reflect their wages and pay them as part-time officials
1:08 - marijuana admin requested a pay raise which will be looked into, she says she is grossly underpaid for the position that she's carrying out. Steps are being taken to address the smell of marijuana down Columbia
1:22:00 Clerks statement; 1072 new registered voters this election, 84% of the township is currently registered to vote.
1:45:00 Emmanuel Kollias with Wightman & Associates was here to present his proposal to the board, which approved payment for the first two steps and will reconvene afterwards to discuss further action.
